Wedding decoration in Pune

A wedding is not one decoration job. It is a haldi on a terrace, a mehendi people sit in for four hours, a mandap that every photograph frames, and a reception stage that has to look right from the back of a hall. Fungga takes them as one booking, which is both cheaper and easier to plan around than sourcing four decorators.

We work out of Baner and decorate weddings across Pune and PCMC — banquet halls in Aundh and Wakad, lawns on the outskirts, hotels along the Baner–Pashan Link Road, and society clubhouses where the family lives.

What we decorate at a wedding

• Mandap — four-pillar structures in fresh or mixed flowers, with a decorated platform, seating and coordinated entrance
• Wedding stage and reception backdrop — built to the venue’s dimensions, with fabric draping, floral panels and lighting
• Haldi — yellow and marigold setups for terraces, courtyards and halls, with low seating, umbrellas and a photo corner
• Mehendi — colourful seating, cushions, drapes and shade
• Entrance arches and pathway décor — fresh flowers, torans, petal paths and welcome arrangements
• Car decoration — fresh flower work for the wedding car and the homecoming
• Home function décor — for the ceremonies that happen before anyone reaches the venue

Fresh flowers, and being honest about them

Fungga uses fresh flowers for mandap, stage and ceremony work, sourced at the market on the morning of the function. Artificial flowers are used only where a setup has to survive several days or direct sun — and we tell you which you are getting before you book, not on the day.

Flower supply in Pune moves with the season, the weather and the wedding calendar. A variety that was available in August may not be in December. If something is short that morning we substitute an equal or higher value bloom in the same colour family and tell you before we start building.

Working with your venue

Give us the venue contact when you enquire and we will agree the setup window, the power supply and the access route directly with them, rather than making you the messenger. Most banquet halls in Pune release the space three to four hours before a function; lawns and hotels vary more.

For weddings we keep a team member on site through the function, not just at setup. Things move during a wedding — a panel shifts, a light needs turning, the seating changes — and somebody should be there to handle it without the family being called.

How the booking works

You send us the dates, the venues and the functions you want decorated. We come back with what we would build at each, itemised, with the flower cost shown separately from the labour so you can see what moves if the scale changes.

A date is held against half the quoted amount. The full inclusion list is confirmed in writing before anything is held, so there is a record of what was agreed — which matters more at a wedding than at any other function, because more people are involved in the decision.
